Cadillac Escalade

The Cadillac Escalade is the ultimate urban SUV. The bling factor is definately a 10. New for 2007 and 2008 models is a 6.2 L Vortec v8 engine producing 403 horsepower at 5700 rpm and 417 pound-feet of torque with VVT (Variable Valve Timing). Also new is a 6 speed heavy duty transmission, which helps reduce gas consumption fuel economy over the old 4 speed tranny. Gas milages are about 12mpg city and 18 highway but 14 and 20mpg are achievable from personal experience. Also for 08 or 2009 GM is supposted to introduce the Cadillac Escalade Hybrid which is supposted to reduce fuel consumption by 25 percent along with Active Fuel Management, GM's version of Displacement on Demand will make the Escalade the new hip "green" vehicle. Its about time! Why hasn't GM made the Hummer Hybrid yet?


The Escalade interior can seat 7 or 8. The difference is the second row seating can either be two captains chairs or a 3 seat bench seat, which then needs to be folded down to access the 3 seat third row seat (no cost option for either), either 2nd row option comes with heated seats standard. I recommend the captains chairs for the second row as they are very lavish and luxurious compared to the bench seating, and then the 3rd row seat is accessable all the time.


Also for 07 the Escalade has a newly styled upscale interior. This interior is also shared with the 08 Hummer H2, the tahoe, and the suburban. Although the Escalade gets the most upscale version including wood trim, heated seats front and rear, optional navigation and rear backup camera, and and air conditioning seats are also an option. HID (High Intensity Discharge) lights are standard but not even an option on the 08 Hummer H2! Also a new exterior option is 22 inch chrome rims for the ultimate bling factor!

2011 Toyota Crown

The revamped Toyota Crown Majesta has been announced for the Japanese market. The new version of the car has some real cool features both in terms of performance improvement and safety. Under the hood will be either a 4.3-litre V8 which is fitted to a four-wheel-drive system with a 6 Super ECT transmission or a 4.6-litre V8 with an 8-speed electronically-controlled gearbox for two wheel drive engines.

On the inside the Majesta comes loaded with HDD navigation system, Toyota sound system with 20 speakers, a camera that detects pedestrians in front of the car, pre-crash seatbacks system, supplemental restraint system and a total of 10 airbags for additional safety. The new Majesta will have a price tag ranging between ¥6,100,000 and ¥6,900,000 ($62,000 to $70,000) and seems to be a perfect balance between, style, performance and safety.

2011 Nissan GT-R Cars

The 2011 Nissan GT-R lineup shrinks and all models gets a slightly revised suspension. Note a freshened version of this sports car is due in calendar 2011 as a 2012 model. Long known as the Skyline GT-R in Japan, the GT-R is Nissan’s flagship performance car. It comes in a single Premium trim level. The Base has been discontinued. The sole engine is a 485-horsepower turbocharged 3.8-liter V6. It teams with a 6-speed dual-clutch automated-manual transmission that behaves much like an automatic. It also includes steering-wheel shift paddles for manual operation. All-wheel drive is standard as are a sport suspension and 20-inch wheels with run-flat tires. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain-side airbags, and front-side airbags. A navigation system with hard drive for storing digital-music files is standard. New for 2011, the navigation system includes real-time traffic and weather alerts. Heated front seats are standard. A no-charge Cold Weather Package includes special coolant and specific wheels and tires.
